Maybe you can use the "Magic Cloth Technique" with a piece of black cardboard to reduce the skyline exposure? You just lift and lower the light blocker you are using to cover what should be the sky. That way you can time the long exposure for everything and the short exposure for the light blocker. Just use something black. You'd need to do it x inches away from the pinhole since covering the pinhole itself would be worthless.
