I thought it was just memes but now that I have a copy of this lens it is actually really nice. Considering it was made in the "right" factory and was binned for export (latin lettering) it is supposed to be one of the nicer Helios copies by default. Maybe it's that or maybe I just lucked out and received a copy made by a lens tech first thing in the morning after they got laid the night prior. It's heavier than I expected and seems to have a lot of (slightly greasy looking) aperture blades. The output of this piece of glass is really damn nice.
Can't speak as much for the camera it came on, the viewfinder is stained due to age and the the low speeds seem to make the curtain get stuck open. It feels nicer in the hand than my Praktica but held up worse mechanically.
