https://www.instagram.com/streetsmtl/so started posting my stuff last week to try and get more out there in the mainstream crowd. don't really want to do the whole instagram gamifying thing since I feel it would distract me from producing my work and might affect my artistic vision.
keeping this exclusively bnw shots of street/architecture related photos. I can sprinkle some color and photojournalism type shots inside multi image posts but I keeping the main images on topic.
I will now attempt to rate some pages, please take my criticisms with a grain of salt.
>>3717496I think your shots are a little bit too much all over the place. maybe that's the slice of life vibe you're going for. I think you could work on your style consistency tho.
>>3717505pretty much all over the place. I think you should try to find a niche and stick to it. remove everything else that doesn't fit inside that niche. specially the portraits.
>>3717524I think you should focus more on shooting those atmospheric night shots. you've got a pretty good eye for them. I'd get rid of all the other shots that don't really fit with that style.
>>3718094I'd get rid of the none wildlife shots and keep focusing on that. it's not my cup of tea but I'm sure people find that really comfy.
>>3718862I think you need to figure out a some consistency with your bordering. I'd remove the shots that aren't street to keep it consistent because that seems to be what you mostly shoot.
>>3719008>@clearbluewindowI wouldn't mix portrait and your architecture stuff. I think you have a really good eye for it and I would try to double down on it. I think people are too eager to post all the photos they like on instagram but to me it seems really important to stay consistent in the style you want your account to reflect.
