>>4223331Basically, japan. The japanese are hopeless luddites when it comes to any technology the user can actually handle. The people designing your cameras still use windows 7 on laptops that look like this.
With one of the few cameras designed by anyone but the japanese (leica), it comes with a 64gb internal SSD that is reliable as fuck and memory cards are an optional capacity/backup extension.
it is 2023. Sending a photo to your phone is still a multi step process that involves simultaneous use of your camera and a buggy shit app. You can't just plug in your phone or something. Flip back to a camera designed by anyone but the japanese... transferring photos from a leica to an iphone is a fucking breeze and the app was not made by students.
If korea or china entered the camera market again this would get better, because they at least aren't so proud of being retarded they would copy apple/leica.
>>4223354They also overheat crammed into those slots. They need airflow. This is also the problem with all CF cards, and why they fail so often. An SSD on its slot on a board has significantly more air around it than one in a card slot. But the japanese are luddites. They think card slots are necessary so the user can replace the cards, but the card slots also necessitate less reliable technology. My CHINESE made, CHINESE designed laptop is built like a fucking tank despite being half the thickness of a sony a1, and on the back is a little panel I can unscrew and replace a small SSD if it dies
And people say MADE IN JAPAN is a good thing while CHINA is somehow bad despite having a larger economy and more scientific advancements.
