>>3952992>I've been invited to the elite fashion show as one of the official photographers!Congrats!
>I'm extremely nervous about not fucking this upYou can prepare for it, look for photos of previous editions of this event, think about which lens would work best in this setting, get inspiration from existing photos.
>I wish I had an autofocus lense, but I don'tIt should be on your next buy list. For now, you'll have to open the aperture and secure a sharp shot.
>I personally appreciate your interest and desire to critique my worksYou're very welcome. I like this thread, your enthusiasm is pretty communicative.
>>3952994>>3952996Yes, this is better, do more like this.
If I had to critique it: can be improved in post, contrast and saturation mostly, make it more "punchy". Color grading might be something to look into later.
I think the girl does a lot to improve the image, she doesn't look awkward in front of the camera, she's nice to look at, good hair texture, interesting coat pattern.
The background on the 1st picture is pretty lame. Your 2nd pic is a good exemple of how you need to pay more attention to composition details: the lamp post in the background and people in the background are distracting. The lamp could be shopped out easily. The people could have been incorporated into the picture if half of them weren't hidden by the girl and if they weren't so dark. I also think the bokeh is just a bit too much. For exemple, you could have taken one step away and to the left to show her hand in full and more of the background. Subject isolation is good, but you can take advantage of the background, especially when it's a big lively street. Pic related for a very ugly schematic on composition.
