I honestly don' really see anything special about it. Don't get me wrong, I understand that it is important tech that has value, I just can't really see the difference. But what do you think about sony's a7r3? The pixel shift tech on that is pretty cool. It acts as a virtual foveon sensor, and the 100% crops I've seen of that look amazing, there genuinely is so much more detail visible using that multishot tech

It's not really oversampled. It's creating a virtual Foveon sensor. So it's getting a full resolution red channel, full resolution blue channel, and double resolution green channel. It's all about color accuracy and additional detail
