How do I get my modern mirrorless camera to look like my old Nikon D40 shots? I found when I moved to my mirrorless camera I got what I expected, which was better noise performance and dynamic range mostly, but editing became a lot less fun. I don't like the colors I get out of my camera and everything looks kinda sterile. I noticed looking back at my D40 shots (they're really nothing special) that I really liked the colors and overall "look". These are RAWs processed in Darktable, but I actually didn't have to do much, I don't even think I messed with colors at all usually. With my new (ish) camera I have to adjust saturation, contrast, etc and when I'm done I don't like the result as much. I feel like I'm nuts because I've looked at comparisons and I don't really buy the whole CCD thing. Is there some setting I should be messing with to try to get this kind of look?
