Unless you keep a holder in it all the time so the baffles covering the ports are open, which I guess is not unthinkable, my career in heavy industry has taught me there are no machines or tasks simple enough that some mong wouldn't fuck it up in the most imaginative way, and it's never their fault that it happened. But man, mine is already 5 years old and I've noticed no signs of dust from the scanner itself. Now the V850, that's a different story. Gotta clean that shit all the time, that's the shatbed life for you.
