Never, NEVER use Zenith (Зeнит) - it's an absolute catastrophe of a camera. Soviets tried into precise mechanics of SLR and (what a surprise!) failed. I u wanna have real experience with soviet cams, use FED (ФЭД), preferrably around version 5. It's practically a copy of Leica rangefinder, modified for being used by soviet army dumbasses. Almost a kilo of metal brutality, lanthanum superheavy glass, extremly reliable and easy to use. Also can be used as self-defence weapon, or for cracking some nuts. As a bonus, you can try to find KGB-used ones (same shit, but with nice engravement)
