I actually don't know which I'd choose between those two. I'd lean towards the Canon since I have a bunch of Canon lenses and generally prefer their interface, but I hate the AF system of the Mark II, and the GX80's small size (especially when coupled with a Panasonic 20/1.7 pancake, which I also already own) does appeal to me. I certainly wouldn't take those very specific systems where the Panasonic has that big honkin' f/2.8 zoom on it, but there's a lot to be said for both cameras.
So I didn't really have anything to say. Until someone said that the Panasonic wins in ISO, which just plain isn't true. Even if you assume the Panny at a stop lower ISO than the 5D2 because the lens can go a stop wider, the best you can say is that ISO noise is about equal, and honestly the 5D2 still looks like it has the edge to me.
