These were my first time doing Tri-x in D-76. grain looks very off in the shadows. I'll walk you through my process. maybe someone can spot something wrong.
>2 rolls of Tri-x shot at 320ish
>4ish month old batch of D-76 in container filled to the cap (used a water jug that a squeezed to reduce the volume)
>bunch of white flakes in the solution. seemed to be due to my hard tap water.
>prepared a 1:1 dilution, poured the D-76 in a funnel with a coffee filter to catch the white shit.
This is where I think I fucked up. could the coffee filter have introduced tiny fibers in the dev solution?
>Dev for 9:45min agitate for 10sec every minute
>stop bath 30sec
>fix 2:30min
>rinse everything under 20c tap water for 5min+
>add photoflo, stir lightly
>leave out to hang, no squeegee.
>scan with minolta dual IV
