>>3444359Just do it. Start on the busiest streets, it makes the photos less personal, but there's less of a threat of getting your ass whooped. Once your comfortable there start going other places.
I work with people that have mental retardation, they do crazy fucking shit in public. And every day at work i'm out in public with them. At first it was embarrassing when they'd start screaming and yelling or start saying weird shit to strangers, but I got used to it after a while, learned how to handle it. And that's my inspiration for street photography, you can get away with a lot more than you think you can in public.
