They've got a little extra punch to the colors, maybe, although that might just be Sigma DPP adding a little contrast/vibrance or something rather than something actually intrinsic to the sensor. And even then, you only get that at ISO 100 or 200. Once you get up to iso 400, they look like shit compared to any bayer sensor on the market (at least based on my experience with the DP2 and DP2 Merrill; I suppose it's possible that the Quattro or newer have better medium- and high-iso performance).
The difference is certainly not big enough to say that a Foveon "rapes" either CMOS or CCD bayer sensors.
