I was reading online that the problem with a Reflector telescope like an 8'' Dob or bigger is you can't get focus and your limited to just taking pictures of the planets What I don't get is why anyone would want to take pictures of planets using a DSLR you can pick up a planetary imaging webcam for like $120-160 that when used with a 2x barlow you can gain focus.
Sadly I love in Southwest Florida and where I live here Saturn and Mars have already set and so has Jupiter the only stuff I can see now is stuff in the Northwest and Northeast sky anything is the south with a 8'' dob can't be seen because my dob can't clear my roof.
