Being new to photography one thing I have noticed with daylight is that the highlights are blown out most of the time like picrel. Animals framed with a green pasture is a nice concept but I think with your advice it was difficult to get a good photo impromptu. If anything this was an exercise in learning where a photo's subject can be at the right time, so thank you. I'll try shooting into the shadows when I get the chance.
