>>3160184That could be the case. I am definitely new to film. You can actually see a line of dead pixels on the portra shot with the girl in it, and I returned that scanner for a replacement (epson v600).
Looking at the negs from the roll in question, they don't look so different, so I think I'll go back and try to scan them a couple more times now that I know I have a good unit.
Did I just buy a shitty scanner? I know they sell third party film holders, maybe that's a good investment. Here's another from the second natura roll I scanned, is this one shitty too? I guess I just have no reference point since I didn't order prints from the lab.
