You see that shadow at the top of the photograph? That's some bit of plastic that was attached to the sensor that fell off.
>second, IR focuses at a different focal length than visible lightnow this is interesting. The focus being all fucked is what it is, but softness is another issue. Since my lens is stuck at f22 it should have SOME parts of the image be pretty sharp, even if I miss my subject.
The camera is full spectrum rn, could the longer IR wavelengths be softening it? I realised after my post that my lens probably blocks UV and it wasn't rayleigh scattering that was softening it.
