>>3190255It's an absolutely good point. Many people fantasize about large format but there's a good chance it would hold a significant portion of them back in practice. It's not a format for everyone and you have to make sacrifices and lose shots more often than you'd realize. In the learning phase of photography it could be crippling, and the format takes more dedication than most. Many people end up dabbling in it, then realizing it's too much for them and using it once a year or never.
Glad you enjoy the thread. We certainly have different styles but at the same time I appreciate what you do. You produce a lot of material and capture the experience of your adventure well and it's great to see it.
And yeah, that pinhole guy is fucking awesome. Hell of a dude to hang out with. He used to live just a few miles from me so we'd always go out for a sunrise shoot in the mountains but now he's 5 hours away so we meet up for bigger trips on occasion. He used to obsess about digital gear and sharpness but decided several years ago that sharpness doesn't make art and soft-as-shit pinholes with dreamy colors is all he needs. His work has improved immensely because of it. To anyone here I highly recommend you check out his insta @lanceroth
