>>3678215The purpose of 220 was mainly so that wedding/portrait/product photographers could blast through rolls and spend less time changing film. With digital taking over the point of 220 was largely lost so companies stopped producing it. Fuji was the last to do so with their Pro 160NS film being discontinued in 220 a few years ago.
When I shot more medium format, 220 was great for travelling. A roll of 220 took up the same amount of space in a bag but gave 2x the number of shots. For just shooting around locally, 120 is fine. It's extra stupid that people pay more for expired 220 than what 2 rolls of the same film in 120 costs fresh.
