He's saying that people sell the new lenses for Pentax when switching to Sony, which makes sense to me. You can recoup a lot of the money and get native lenses that give you better results and are less of a pain to work with. For when you don't mind the limitations of adapted lenses such as lack of autofocus, it makes sense to use vintage glass.
