NV and Thermals are not standard and used for specific conditions. I also take that the people that have that much optic don't run after animals in the forest or hike with it and I suspect that these stuff are way overkill for hunting and war is irrelevant because yeah I would take the risk to lose 8k$ if it could save my life.
So yeah your point is retarded , carrying a rifle is radically different than carrying a camera with a fat telephoto both in use and necessity.
