Just a shout out to my boi the reflector. Hugely great tool for photography of cosplayers.
Use the white side when its bright and sunny. Have the subject stand in a shadowed area, and then bounce the sunlight back in at them while you stand in the light.
Or silver side in overcast/darker situations.
Easy to carry, and a lot less heavy and probably more reliable than a flash setup, with likely better photo results anyway. And 1000% less dorky too.
