The optics on the XA3 are way better than the Mju II I'd have to say, The test roll I shot on it showed some images with VERY noticeable softness and chromatic aberration in the corners (Although I suspect this is only the case when it uses larger apertures). The viewfinder is very small with bad viewing angles, DX code with no ISO override, inaccurate focusing at times, loud film winding and having to do the "pull cover, tap flash button twice" dance like you mentioned are the things I dislike about this camera.
Besides all that I think the Mju II is very impressive for what it is. The fact that it's the same size as an XA3 without the flash, has a flash, is weather sealed with AF and an f/2.8 lens is outstanding. I bought the camera to use as a beater camera, something I can take to say the beach or a pub without worrying if it gets fucked up. I had a Ricoh R1S for that but a drink got spilt all over it, which caused it to have problems with the electronics.
