I made the switch from a canikon ae1 program to a Minolta x700 and couldn't be happier. Godly user experience and never felt the need to shoot anything other than 35mm film. The economics of mostly not paying the hipster tax is nice too. Got three bodies and the 50 1.4, 35 2.8, 100 2.5, and 135 2.8, all great glass. I'd get the 85 1.7 but there's already a hipster tax on them sadly. I'm going to get backups before the price triples.
Ordered a brand new Fujifilm xt-1 @$600 for a digital platform with adapted lenses, but will probably end up using it mostly for scans.
