>>3474961Yes, the black one fits over the entire flip-up flash while the gold one just butts up against the flash. Of all the flash solutions I tried, those were the best for those lenses used in that manner. I have an LED ring light but it is way too weak for this kind of thing, due to short working distances. A light that has those bendy lights which you can move into position would be better I'd assume. The real trick is getting enough light there without causing terrible glare. Like this image of the bee's eye that doesn't use the lens hood. The spike of flare in the middle can't be removed easily without a lens hood.
