I didn't know the non-AI 2.8s were coated, though, so that's pretty cool. No clue if the other variants of the 35/2 are coated. My understanding is:
35/2 non-AI - uncoated
35/2 AI - single-coated
35/2 AI-S - multicoated
35/2 AF-D - multicoated, different optics
