I thought this option was kind of interesting too - there is a knob that changes the aspect from 1:1 to 4:3. Obviously, the camera just crops the 4:3, but theres something kind of off when I go and crop it by myself. The 4:3 ratio retains the vignetting, though to me it feels far less...I dont know, natural? Than the real-deal (see Al Gore at the top there). Theres something kind of digital about the vignette. Still though - a tactile knob to change aspects is kind of interesting. There is also a color/black and white switch on this thing. Not a big fan of the color.
