List is still a bit of a mess, now that I look at it. Langford Advanced Photography is really advanced knowledge. While Michael Freeman is more basic that it's on that list. I quickly did it a while ago, and never got around reordering it. First and last rows are mostly a joke. Second is beginner technical knowledge. The other two are more or less the same.
Anyway, these are very solid: Bryan Peterson - Learning to See Creatively, Michael Freeman - Eye/Mind/Light. Alain Briot - Photographic Composition. Going with either of these will get you plenty of ideas on composition.
