So I am just starting with (a bit more) serious video. I have bough a 60D for a nice price and I am wondering how to do colour grading properly and whether I need it.
I am experimenting with the Cinestyle profile and editing colours in post, but I am not sure in which order I want to apply effects. I have a LUT for cinestyle to Rec.709. Is it better to apply the LUT first and then do level manipulation, contrast etc. or should it be done before applying the LUT? I am using Kdenlive for this.
So in general: what is the normal workflow in editing the Cinestyle profile and colour grading?
Do I even need the profile or should I rather shoot using the classic canon profile bundled in the camera?
