All likeliness it actually does work I've bought dozens of "junk" cameras from YH without an issue, the Japanese take really good care of their belongings. I purchased a XA3 for $50 that "wasn't" working, when it arrived it was in mint condition popped in some fresh batteries and it worked like a charm.
