>>2915062Yeah seems I read it wrong. So anyways this place I'm looking at only has a replacement fee of 20% with the rental protection plan. Protection plan is 10% of the total rental cost.
So looking at it this way. Lets say I rent myself a Nikon D5-FX which currently retails for 6500$. Lets say I add 2 lenses and shit and that brings it up to 7500$
I rent it for 260$ (Weekend) plenty of time for it to get stolen. Plus lens rentals equals out to about 350$. Adding the 10% protection fee equals to 385$.
Throw in a fake police report. (I'll report some sketchy black guy that they wont give a fuck about) This one only costs time.
So lets add up the totals.
20% of 7500$ is 1500$ plus the 385$ gives me 1885$ plus a few hour of my time.
I'd call it worth it for 5500$ in discounts that they'll just subsidize through some tax loophole.
