What exactly do you define as a nuisance? If you mean just carrying it around then I dunno, buy a fuckin strap or something. Invest in a lens system and body/bodies that can do auto mode. Buy whatever SLR body, hell you could buy a fucking AE1/T70 and flip the lens in A mode, then use manual when you aren't doing that. T50 is a complete PnS package in an SLR body. Folding cams will fit in your pocket but if it wasn't serviced recently (and you're not into fixing shit) I wouldn't.
