I'm looking for a walk around wide angle lens for my fuji xpro to capture city scenery for about 300-350 dollars.
XF18mm vs adapted old lenses.
XF18mm F2
>oldest of FX lenses, through worst depreciating
>can be had new for 250 bucks
>almost a pancake lens
>autofocus so it will work optimally with the optical viewfinder
Newer 16mm Fuji is much more expensive.
From adapted lenses I found Zeiss Jena Flektogon 20mm to be the best but it has skeletons in it's closet. It's sibling 35mm is radioactive or made from contaminated rare earth materials and there is no clear info on the 20mm.
Versions range from F1.9, F2, F2.8 to F4 and so does price from 200-300 dollars. Exacta mounts are cheaper and more common.
But it should keep it's value and even raise it, old lenses are a pyramid scam at this point.
Are there any other good old ~20mm wide angle adapted lenses or should I go with the XF18mm?
