But you're right. The A7 line is supposed to be more affordable than A7S and A7R.
Who knows though.
"ultimate speed" is one of the highlight goals in their roadmap.

A7R mark 3: will not have stacked Dram. Because it's a freaking new sensor already, and they want to make money off of it for a few years. And high Resolution isn't Speed compatible anyway.
A7 mark 3: might have stacked Dram. Because the current 24 Mp sensor is old now, and the timing is perfect to rework a new sensor with higher speed.
A7S mark 3: Will have Stacked Dram as well. By the time A7S mark 2 is replaced, the sensor is already old. So it fits the timing.
Plus, high sensitivity and High speed and Low resolution has the ultimate synergy. So that one is almost guaranteed.
