You're right though- It's hard to communicate the wonder of finding somewhere that's been undisturbed and hidden by nature, off limits and the likes
I guess most architecture is fairly limited in the things you can do with it- long exposures with the clouds, rainy reflections, light streaming through the windows and framing things with other buildings is 95% of it and the reason tourist iconic stuff gets photographed so much is because everyone has figured out the best points and angles to shoot them at, whereas one person in a few abandoned buildings is less likely to be able to create something amazing
I guess ultimately it's all a matter of footfall
