>>3743153Recently got one on ebay for 140€, and it's a great EDC camera. I actually own a G7/G70 too, but I mostly shoot on FF.
>pros great build
great feel in the hands, that's why I went for a more compact model
all the functions you would need for street or documentary photography
built in stabilizer
>consbatteries are smaller and you will need at least two of them
basically the cons of any MFT system
MFT files have a weird thing with the shadows, which I notice in post processing
I don't like the SOOC jpegs from the G70 and the GX85, they look bad
The thing with MFT is that you will always struggle in low light situations. The GX85 is one of the first models in the price range with image stabilization (which works extremely well) but you will still struggle to freeze motion in low light unless you invest money in fast lenses.
Another problem with MFT is the image quality which degrades much faster at higher ISO. Whereas I can comfortably shoot at 1600 on my old Sony A7, in MFT any ISO over 600 will see a difference in image quality. That's why it's an everyday carry for me and not a body for work I think is important. I did portraits with a G7 some time, but MFT is just not the right system for it and I wouldn't recommend MFT for things like this. If you do street or any sort of photography where you shoot at day and need a fast, snappy system, then MFT absolutely is an option for you.
