>>4282925Uh huh. Don't take my word for it, real people have been using the iv/v for extreme weather travel and time lapse photography without issue. The only fuckups are people who dont know that sony doesn't actually label their weather sealed lenses. That's a marketing failure, not a tech failure, but hey, if people are retarded enough to get into canon when new to pro gear, people are retarded enough to put an FE 50mm f1.8 on their $5000 camera and get drenched.

Sony outsells olympus by a vast margin and has fewer WR failures assuming we're not counting the a7riii and a7iii, meaning they are at least as reliable, but probably more. And olympus went out of business, so sony is really the most reliable brand still in operation unless nikon can stop needing to issue recalls 2 days after each release.
>>4282922It's not nearly as sharp, nearly as fast so even equivalence is a losing situation (outdoors an FF can spend most of the day at ISO 100, or ISO 50, even doing wildlife), and there are cheaper, faster, but not smaller options that adapt from F mount.
Also, the ZF/Z8's autofocus system (hopefully the same as the 3rd version of the z6 and z7) is significantly better than anything on m43. M43's autofocus is about z7ii tier.
M43 is a size proposition here, but it's a wash with cost and quality and utility go to nikon. The nikkor 180-600 is not purse-camera small, but in a grown man's hands it's not very large or heavy relative to the user and handles nicely. I guess your feelings on the issue depend on if you're used to carrying a rifle through the woods or used to carrying an iphone.
