Hey, /p/. I am new to photography, and I am looking to purchase my own DSLR camera. Ever since I bought my Xiaomi Yi (gopro clone), I've become very interested in photography. I do not plan on attempting professional work, just looking to get into it as a hobby. Since I bought the camera I've been self-teaching myself what ISO is, exposure, shutter speed, etc, and I've even borrowed a family member's Canon EOS 400D (Rebel Xti) to go out and try some amateur photography.
I am currently looking for used cameras under $300. Often I will find body-only Nikon D3300's for $250 or less, which is great for me. However, I am indeed uneducated as to what could actually work for my needs, and not blow my money on a particular model just because a review list online said is the best for entry-level. So I am coming here to ask for as much advice as I can get before I write a check for something. Basically, all I'm really looking for is:
>16MP or above
>The ability to swap lenses
>Does not need to be able to use the LCD as the viewfinder, but would be a plus
>Good low light performance
>Can shoot 1080p60 video
>Does not need a built-in flash
>Don't care for WiFi
>absolutely does not need to be the newest thing
That's basically it. Anyone here have any ideas? Even the 10 year old Canon that I'm borrowing at the moment is doing pretty well for me, it just doesn't shoot video, which really sucks. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, /p/.
