It's interesting that Zeiss T* coating can display such different characteristics when applied to different lenses.
Both of them create triangle shaped, green ghosting on the right side.
The 40mm has this rainbow flare, but it actually retains more contrast in the tree leaves and roof next to the sun.
The 55mm doesn't have rainbow flare, but it loses in contrast and more of the leaves and edge of the roof is "eaten" by the sun.
I think I prefer the Batis lens. Even though it has that funny flare, I think it can kind of be implemented in an artistic way so it has more potential than the 55mm.
