Even with RAW shooting it still uses a noise reduction filter, depending on how high the ISO is set. On the Q7 you need to set the noise reduction(NR) to low or auto then never use any ISO higher than 400 since the NR starts kicking in at ISO800. Also, the diffraction limit is pretty harsh at around f/3.5. So, any f-stop tighter than that will start to give you noticeable diffraction. This is because the pixels are wee tiny.
