I took the battery out and stuck the body in some rice. Few days later, put the battery back in and turned it on. It turned powered up, but the wheels didn't work, and neither did the shutter release. Figured it was fucked. Stuffed it on shelf, forgot about it.
Fast forward 2 months later, come across it and try it out. Works fine.
Give it time, OP. There could be shorts caused by the water, but the electronics may be resilient enough not to fry. Just wait.
