>>3481691Got one for free a couple of years ago and the only really outstanding thing about it was that I got a nice wad of money for selling it.
It's a huge brick for a compact, not pocketable at all and heavy to boot. The ergonomics are poor, shutter release is very easy to press by accident, the lens aperture ring is small and hard to operate unless you have stick figure fingers. The lens itself is okay-ish but you won't be able to tell it apart from primes that cost less than a half of this camera. Mine had absolutely horrible corners are most apertures, I've heard people claim it was defective, go figure. The AF system isn't any smarter than the active IR AF on any other compact of the time, it gets thrown off by windows and whatnot, although there's at least an override.
The only advantage of this thing over a $50 Olympus AF1 Super is the degree of manual control you get from aperture and AF overrides and a +-2 compensation dial. In return you get a not-compact compact that is too expensive to ever take to situations where you'd want to use a weather sealed compact, for the price of a premium SLR kit. I'd say this thing is worth around $200 at most. It was intended to be a rich man's vacation toy, not a workhorse.
