>>3192201What camera do you have? The crop factor is different on some it seems, but 1.5x is the norm for most. 35mm would = 52.5mm The smaller the mm the more of the scene you'll get into the photo. What is the smallest lens you have right now or smallest setting it can use? The f/1.8 on the lens you mention would be good for the extra light and faster exposures for moving stuff in a street scene. Since I have the 18-55mm kit lens for the D3400, I can see how much of a scene I can fit into the photo by setting the lens to 35mm
I've been eyeing this one, but only for the small profile, f/1.8, and ability to make bokeh and use bokeh caps on it,

It should show you what 35mm with a 1.5x crop factor looks like in comparison to 18mm. That should give you a sense of how much of the scene you can get into your photos with stuff under 35mm.
