Slide is only hard to expose when you overthink it and start trying to do wacky things with your exposure in protest of what your meter is suggesting. Shoot at box in nice light and trust your meter and it'll look great. There are a few unique lighting situations where you may want to dial in some exposure compensation...but if you can't no big deal in-camera meters tend to do a great job regardless.
