Sony's 61mp FF sensor has more reach than their 24mp sensors. And their 24mp sensors have more reach than their 12mp sensor. And why wouldn't that be the case? Look at the attached pic. Pretend it's a bird and you are focal length limited. Which body would you use?
>You can't tell.Because you're purposely pitting a 42mp camera against a 61mp one. The 61mp one actually does still have more reach. It's just not much more. It doesn't stand out as much and isn't as useful as, say, 61mp vs 24mp.
