Having a crisis. I love the form factor of the new X-T5, minus the cucked old EVF they kept for it.
I want the video features of the X-H2, I think it would be powerful to have something that could do prores recording internally, and I hate the idea of using a big fussy video rig. Like the only thing I’d like to have is a preamp and/or microphone on top. But I also hate the flippy screen of the X-H2.
Should I get the XT-5 since I’d like it more as a camera and then get an external recorder if I really wanted to do video on good codecs? Or accept the change of the X-H2? I really dont like PASM. I’ve looked up specs of many external recorders and they’re not even that good.
I am mainly a stills photographer but want to start doing more video. All other specs being the same, would a piece of film recorded on h.265 be lower quality than something initially recorded as prores? Am i over thinking anything?
