I have had D3300 /w normal zoom, telezoom, and 35mm 1.8 for two years
I'm wanting the 85mm 1.8 for shooting people, and I also want to upgrade the body because the 15 AF points seriously limit composition when shooting wide open (thinking D7000 series or D750)
Problem is I think I'd rather be Sony, and the considered purchases are so big compared to my current gear that I might as well switch if it's right for me
I like the general mirrorless advantages: Live preview (w/ zebra-striping, focus-peaking etc.), and feature-detection AF. These are things where the tacked-on LV in DSLRs will never rival mirrorless
I don't like the size of Sony, but the real drawback is the shitty lens selection. I don't care that mirrorless cameras may match comparably priced DSLRs if I have to pay twice as much for a lens. It's a problem that's probably gonna go away in a few years, but I don't wanna be an early-adopter cuck wasting his money in the meantime
What do I do, /p/ - Photogear?
