Just got one of these in yesterday. Probably the best lens I have ever used. So sharp at f1.4 and has a pleasing bokeh. The sharpness at 5.6 is god tier. One thing that it has that a lot of lens' don't have is a super flat field curvature. It's a little hefty but it's worth it. The build quality is better than Leica, no question (I own 5 Leica lenses so I know). The focus ring is heavy but buttery smooth.
I haven't used an Otus but I can't imagine it's much sharper (or if you'd even be able to tell) and plus, the Otus is way bigger and more expensive. This lens hits the right balance. I can't believe it but I'm actually going to sell my 35 Summilux FLE. Glad to see Zeiss putting some pressure on Leica.
