I remember I used a lot the Uxs on my d7000 but when I quickly switched to a d800 I didn't even feel the need to use the banks anymore as everything is now at the tips of my fingers - especially annoying was the retartet iso button on lower end bodies: I now just press the video button plus wheel to change iso or just put it in auto iso on low contrast scenes with the same technique but using the front wheel instead.
