Here's 2 sets of images. The left 2 are 50mm and the right 2 are 300mm. The star is the only light source. The ISO is maxed out. The apertures are maxed out and I used Photoshop to kick up the exposure more. This is as fast as the shutter speeds can be without totally unusable motion-blurred images. To get better photos of non-lighted objects you'd need a tripod.
What you see here is the worst you can do with the best settings under such circumstances. I don't have a road nearby I can take shots of traffic, but if you get to test lenses at night, I suggest you test it on traffic to really see what it could do with a lighted UFO.
This is on a D3400 which is slightly worse at night than a D3300. Videos to follow.
